The Sun and the Stars have always seemed to tell stories. Before their stories came together in the science of astronomy, all around the world people invented legends to explain the beginnings of everything and changing seasons. ( Some of the myths tried to make sense of changing luck which we still don't understand.)
The stars you will see tonight look only a little different to children far North or far South of you. But as the Seasons change the stars that fill the night sky change and need stories to mark the order in which we pass them. Hear stories that Egyptians, Greeks, and the early civilizations of this continent saw in the stars we share. Some saw gods and heroes, some saw animals.
Construct figures to remember those stories. Map the stars your parents saw when you were born. Pick your own story to fit those stars.
