A Connecticut native, Nicole (Alberino) Peterson visits from Virginia to spend a week where her teaching career started: at the Eli Whitney Museum. Nicole began working at the museum in 1996 at age sixteen and taught classes through 2001. She attended Roger Williams University in Rhode Island, receiving her bachelors degree in Elementary Education and Anthropology in 2004. She recently earned her Masters degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in Special Education. Nicole currently teaches second grade in Richmond Public Schools and hopes to begin her doctoral work in 2015 with a focus on School-wide Positive Behavior Supports.
