MAKERS are experimenters, artists, tinkerers, and inventors. a Faire is a festival for sharing. This week we will share tools, materials, skills, new technology, old toys, sources of inspiration, space, (and control) with you to MAKE exciting stuff. The inspiration: The Exploratorium's dazzling, new The Art of Tinkering. Seven or our apprentices (and you) will match wits with the 7 artists of the Tinkering Studio'steam whose work the book celebrates.
Expect LED electronics: some wearable, Arduino experiments, mark making machines, a giant cardboard roller coaster (for your battery powered racer), new musical instruments with contact microphones, micro 3D printing, a coin op controller, and your own inventions. All to be shared in a fabulous Friday Faire.
