COVID Journey Through Latin America

Summer Age Group
Younger

We have just a week to travel through South America. We will board our biodiesel - electric bus in Ecuador and follow the Pan American Highway south through Peru and Chile enroute to Argentina. A journey of 3000 miles.

We will stop in a big city in each country that has both historic and modern buildings. We will travel to the countryside to meet people who wear traditional costumes. We will make copies of their special animals – Jaguars, Alpaca, Puma and Llama. We’ll make copies of their birds.

We will hear stories and learn games and sing songs that are different in each country. We will learn Spanish all along the journey but then encounter many different languages.

We will make a large map to show all of the countries we have passed or didn’t have time to visit. We will shape the largest mountains and rivers that have shaped the stories of the people we have met. We will bring back Journals and all the souvenirs we have made.
