COVID Arduino: Controlling Everything

Summer Age Group
Water

Arduino (ar-dew-een-oh) is an open-source electronics prototyping platform used by hundreds of thousands of makers and hobbyists across the planet. With an Arduino board, you can control a huge variety of devices and projects with only a minimal knowledge of electronics. Write code to automate tasks, and try out some of the many add-on modules and devices that expand Arduino's capabilities. Learn not only how to make things, but the mindset that designing your own projects is within your reach.

Start by programming some basic tasks: blinking lights, playing musical notes, and detecting button presses. Apply that knowledge and tackle more advanced problems, such as displaying text on our new persistence-of-vision machine. Reverse engineer complex programs to see how experienced programmers approach tasks, and learn to solder to expand your creations beyond the breadboard.
