Annalise Phillips

Educator

A graduate of English, Philosophy and Social Justice at the University of San Francisco, Annalise was drawn to teaching five years ago in the inner city of the Bay Area. Her work in a high school engineering academy and her experience volunteering at the Exploratorium led to her firm belief in the power of hands on learning, particularly for those that struggle in a traditional classroom setting.

She joined the museum as an educator in the fall of 2013 after completing a Masters in Education and was eager to participate in an environment that valued and fostered creative exploration. When she isn't teaching Annalise spends her time experimenting in the kitchen with things as simple as chocolate chip cookies or as complex as saffron honey caramels.
