The Eli Whitney Museum & Workshop is situated on the site of the Eli Whitney Armory, a significant part of early American industrial history. We preserve this history and continue its legacy through our unique hands-on learning workshops.
At the Eli Whitney Museum and Workshop, we teach people through experiences that encourage observation, invention, and engagement with tools and materials.
We host field trips, weekend projects, and special programs for learners of all ages. Our apprentice program trains teens to support our educational programs through production and design thinking.
Apprenticeship encourages many passions, and builds the discipline needed to excel. Meet a few graduates of our apprenticeship program, and explore the diverse careers they have made.
